Mr. Goldapp taught junior high and high school band in Texas for twenty one years before he moved to Branson, Missouri to play music full time. While living in Texas, he performed with several musical groups and at Fiesta Texas in San Antonio. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Lutheran University and Master’s from Texas State University where he studied clarinet with Roy Norton and Dr. David Pino, respectively. Mr. Goldapp is currently the Woodwind Adjunct at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri and the Musical Director at Peace Lutheran Church in Hollister, Missouri.
While in Branson, Mr. Goldapp has performed with Jennifer Wilson, Anita Bryant, Shoji Tabuchi, Bobby Vinton, The Welk Show, The Rat Pack Show, Frank Stallone, The Four Preps, The New Chordettes, and The Johnny Rogers Show. He is a founding member of The Little Hoover Big Band in Springfield, Missouri. This group serves as mentors for young jazz musicians in the Springfield area. He is also a member of The Jazz Educators Big Band and the Reflections Dance Orchestra directed by Bob Holden in Springfield, Missouri.
Mr. Goldapp continues to perform locally in the Branson area with the Tri Lakes Community Theater and other local groups. He has recorded two CD’s of original music, “Days and Nights” and “Going Up!”. Both are available at www.CDbaby.com. Mr. Goldapp plays Cannonball Big Bell alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones. He has recently become a Cannonball Artist for their new Piacere Clarinets.
