It Is Over - April 10, 2011

Just finished playing a recital today at College of the Ozarks.  Thank you to Mary Elizabeth Bradley for playing the piano for me.  A wonderful Flutist, Michelle Yarbrough also played.  Her piano player was David Giles.  It was the first recital I have played using my new Cannonball Piacere Clarinet.  It played great.  One person commented that he was impressed with the smoothness of the clarinet in all registers.

February News - February 10, 2011

Been enjoying your winter?  Branson and Hollister have enjoyed a lot of snow this year.  We are ready for spring.  The Jazz Educator's Big Band had a fine concert at MMEA in January.  It was nice to play for an audience that understands jazz and enjoys listening to it.

I am currently producing a new CD of swing tunes and other instrumental favorites.  I hope to have it available in March.  The title is probably doing to be "Moonglow".  I will play the saxes, clarinet, flute and keys.  Dan McMasters will be featured on guitar.

If you are coming to Branson, don't forget to check out "The Rat Pack Show".  The weather has been nasty, so check with the theater for show dates and times.   We are at the ICON Theater on 76.

Jazz Educator's Big Band - January 17, 2011

The Little Hoover Big Band and the Jazz Educator's Big Band will present a concert on January 23, 2011 at Clara Thompson Hall on the Drury campus in Springfield.  The concert is at 3:00 pm and is free to the public.

The CD contains what might be called "classic" praise and worship tunes arranged using contemporary christian musical tracks.
