Well we are almost at the end of 2015.  I have been playing the Patsy Cline Remembered show in Branson Missouri since August of this year.  I replaced a very talented piano player who is now with the Million Dollar Quartet in Branson at the Welk theater.  He is playing the part of Jerry Lee Lewis.  If you come to Branson, make sure you check them out.

Sure have been eyeing the white with gold keys Cannonball tenor sax.  What a beautiful instrument.  I might have to get one some day.  Check out all their instruments at

I have greatly enjoyed playing the show again.  Nice folks to work for and with.  We have a very talented bunch.  Check us out on the web, and look for us at the Americana Theater in Branson for 2016.

Good News - March 28, 2012

Just got hired to play keys on "Oh What A Night" at the Andy Williams theater in Branson.  This is a show that features the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  The boys out front are great singers, backed up by a live band.   The schedule for April and May is: MWF evenings, TTHS afternoons.  The show will resume in September.  Andy will have a "big band" backing him up for his 75th anniversary show in September and October.  I will be playing horns in that show.

Please say a prayer for Kim Caldwell.  Her husband Bill, a great jazz artist, passed away Monday from a heart attack.  He was 49.  They live in Kansas.

March 2012 News - March 2, 2012

Thank you for checking out my website.  I have had well over 50K hits.  We made it through the tornado ok.  Our apartment was not damaged.  The "strip" is a mess, and many homes and other businesses were damaged.  BUT, BRANSON IS OPEN AND READY FOR VISITORS.  We have several theaters still operating, and our restaurants and motels are open.  Please tell your friends and enemies that we are still here.

October news - October 20, 2011

Just finished playing some tunes for a convention this past week at the Branson Convention Center.  Turned out nice.  Played for a mixer, and background music one morning by the exhibits.  Got to use my new Powerwerks PA.  Sounded great, and yes, even played my new Cannonball Soprano some.

You know there were folks at the convention that really liked the live music.  Several jazz players and listeners were in attendance.  We have a nice time talking shop.  Yes, there are still "jazz people" in this world!

It was nice to get to play.  The convention planners truly felt my performance added to their convention.  I enjoyed being around folks who were glad I was there.  Next time you go out and are "confronted" by live music, thank the person in charge for having enough guts to hire live musicians.
